Matt Wilcox,
Founder & CEO
Matt draws from nearly two decades of leadership at MKW Services, a multiple award-winning deck and backyard builder. Over that time, he has earned a reputation for honest communication, dependable leadership, and outdoor spaces designed to stand the test of time.
His philosophy is straightforward: do it once, and do it right. For nearly 20 years, that mindset has shaped a business built on trust, consistency, and long-term relationships.
Ontario Pergola was launched after identifying a need for premium aluminum pergolas in the local market. Matt remains committed to delivering the best product, the best service, and the best overall experience with Canadian-made pergolas built for lasting performance.
With a long-standing commitment to community involvement, Matt believes strong communities are built by people who invest in them. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, embracing the same lifestyle he works hard to help create for others.
Kathy Wilcox,
Director, Operations & Strategic Partnerships
With more than 25 years of experience in coordination, case management, and community engagement, Kathy brings a disciplined, relationship-focused approach to operational leadership at Ontario Pergola. She’s known for ensuring projects, internal processes, and client relationships are managed with clarity, consistency, and a commitment to high standards.
Kathy currently serves on the Government Affairs Committee with her local Chamber of Commerce and previously contributed to the Aurora Chamber of Commerce Home Show Committee from 2023 to 2024. She has also served on the Board of Directors for her local Board of Trade, reflecting her ongoing commitment to strengthening business networks and supporting regional economic growth.
She believes successful companies are built on structure, accountability, and lasting relationships, and she champions collaboration as the foundation for meaningful partnerships.
Ontario Pergola proudly recognizes Kathy for being featured in the Georgina Women in Business March 2026 Spotlight, an honour that reflects her leadership, integrity, and community involvement.
Outside of work, Kathy enjoys painting, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her family.
Doug Woods,
Director, Sales & Field Operations
Doug brings a hands-on, people-first approach to every stage of the client journey. He is committed to ensuring each interaction reflects Ontario Pergola’s standards of professionalism, clarity, and care.
With a strong background in leadership and large-scale event management, Doug excels at coordinating complex projects while keeping every detail seamless for clients. His ability to anticipate needs, communicate clearly, and build trust ensures confidence from the first conversation through final installation.
At Ontario Pergola, Doug focuses on delivering service that mirrors the quality of the product itself, believing exceptional support is a standard, not an add-on.
Outside of work, Doug stays actively engaged in the community, leading one of the region’s most well-known events. He also loves adventures with his family, reflecting his passion for bringing people together and creating meaningful connections both locally and at home.
